Los Angeles Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers have once again pulled into a first-place tie in the NL West. The defending NL champion Colorado Rockies are not the other team in first, but they are suddenly back in the division race. The Dodgers again try to move alone atop the division for the first time since the first week of the season when they open a three-game series against the surging Rockies Monday at Coors Field. Los Angeles (48-50) is back in a tie with Arizona after rallying for five runs in the ninth inning in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Diamondbacks. Matt Kemp doubled in the tying run and Andre Ethier hit a go-ahead triple for the Dodgers, who have not been alone in first place since they were 3-1 on April 4. ''That was a huge win,'' Los Angeles manager Joe Torre said. ''It was nice to be able to steal that one.''
